The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted, by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, with the responsibility of conducting the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CU-CET) on undergraduate and postgraduate level for the central universities across the country. The Common University Entrance Test- Undergraduate 2022 (CUET (UG) is already open for registration for the academic session 2022-2023 for undergraduate programs in central universities all over the country. CUET (UG) 2022 will give a chance to students all over the country to sit for the entrance test, thus making sure that they have a common platform and fair chance to take admission in their desired course and university. This will give equal opportunities to the students from rural and urban settings, from Tier 1, 2 and 3 cities, and access to a common entrance test. The CUET (UG) is a step towards making the higher education and admission process of Central universities accessible to all the students in the country.
According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), to be eligible for admission in undergraduate programs in any Central university of the country, the clearance of the CUET (UG) is a prerequisite.
